Khwezi

Let me introduce myself.

My name is Khwezi Shelembe, in full it is Khwezilokusa, meaning morning star in Zulu. I come from the city of Durban, South Africa, and was born in the early hours of the day in September. My mother was blessed to have given birth to a baby boy. It is no surprise she gave me the name Blessing which I am commonly known by. Coming from a humble background, I have learned to appreciate life's ups and downs. I was fortunate enough to be sent to a good school where I developed my language a bit further from my friends back home. As I grew, I stumbled upon the notepad app on my Blackberry at the time and began to express myself, starting with what is similar to vanity cards. Writing encouraged me to write better speeches for class. I went through all of these hoops before truly discovering that I could write poetry. Always been a fan of Hip Hop/Rap, I guess it was to fall on my lap at some point. After gaining 5K views for my book Her in my mind on Wattpad, I thought it might be a good time to move on to the next step of my writing. I hope you will enjoy what I have to share with you.
